Events - What's on?
If your club would like to hold an event at the SWMAC's full-sized sealed
airstrip then drop us a line. We're always
keen to make our facilities open to any meenting of NZMAA-affiliated fliers.
Upcoming events for 2009:
October 24/25: Fly for Fun Days
Model fliers from around the North Island will descend on the SWMAC for a whole
bunch of fun. Be here or be square! All welcome.
November 7/8: National Model Jet Meeting
Another model jet meeting with fliers visiting from all over the North Island. This
is also a warm-up and practice weekend for many who will be attending the international
jet meeting held in Tokoroa in February 2010.
Upcoming events for 2010:
February 12th-14th: The Annual International Model Jet Meeting
The annual international model jet fly-in held every year at the Tokoroa Airfield.
This year there are likely to be RC model jets coming from all over Australasia
and perhaps even further afield. If there's one weekend to visit the Tokoroa
Airfield, this has to be it. This is the biggest model jet meeting in the country.

Another national jet meeting
8/9 May
Another national jet meeting, the last before winter when cold temperatures
and strong winds keep the jets at home again until November.
