From: James For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: Yahoo - Is there anyone there? I have a problem with Yahoo groups. I set up a group and then by mistake deleted the owner of the groups account. Now Yahoo have an orphen group with no owner to manage it. Needless to say this makes the group useless. The problem gets worse because I can't get hold of anyone at Yahoo to talk to about this problem. I am just met with silence from the one email address I could find. I thought the whole point of being on the internet and having email was that people could contact you. I guess because it is a free service they give you the service you pay for. From: Jared Yates For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: Dont you just love the law? ahahahah 100% effective at preventing the transfer of copyrighted material... bwhahahahahah I wonder if the judge has ever heard of mail. Yep, good old snail mail... gee, i wonder if he's going to tell the Post Office that they are no longer able to transfer letters and parcels unless they can guarantee no-one is using it for transferring copyrighted material. Can we say $5 VCD Movies from Asia? Is he going to demand that people cease using FTP/HTTP servers, Telnet or IRC until they can prove that it is unable to transfer copyrighted material? It really doesnt matter what you try to do, people will always find a way... prime examples being the increased traffic in MP3 channels on IRC and, in the "real" world, drug smuggling. Which leads us to the obvious questions... What is this Judge smoking? and can we get it in NZ?Now Have Your Say
