The UK gets worse

3 November 2025

Guy Fawkes Day is now just a couple of sleeps away and I'm pretty sure UK politicians won't he sleeping comfortably right now.

I say this because yesterday two rogue assailants stabbed nine people on a train at Huntingdon in what was originally (since withdrawn) claimed to be a terror attack.

This attack is just the latest in a growing number of kife and sex attacks in the UK, many of them involving illegal immigrants and/or Islamic offenders.

The tinderbox that is the UK has just gone from "primed" to "smoking".

Social media has exploded with calls to action by various individuals and it has been announced that many extra police have been deployed across the nation in a preemptive move to try and prevent wider civil unrest or copycat crimes.

The widening gap between the reports of mainstream media (MSM) and those appearing on popular social media websites is now becoming very apparent.

MSM news sites such as the BBC are playing down any links to Islam or terrorism and instead have published the line that the offenders were suffering a mental illness.

In contrast, several first-hand reports on social media claim that those who undertook the attack were shouting "Allahu Akbar", the Islamic phrase often used during terror attacks.

UK government Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood made a statement to the media in which she said "We now know this attack is not being treated as terrorism, and that two British-born, British nationals have been arrested". What she failed to include was that the offenders were a 32-year-old black British man and a 35-year-old British man of Caribbean descent.

Clearly, and perhaps quite understandably, Ms Mahmood was not keen to diclose the race of those who have been arrested for this horrific attack, for fear of inciting a violent response from right wing extremists.

Sadly, the situation in the UK has almost reached breaking point. Innocent victims have been stabbed to death while walking their dogs, working at migrant hotels, going about their every day routines and kids have become victims when a knifeman ran amok at a Taylor Swift dance party. All of these crimes have been committed by people who seem to have been unable to integrate into traditional UK society.

Now, growing numbers of regular British folk, including many who are also of different races to your average pasty-white Pomme, are outraged and demanding action from a government that has, to date, been an apologist for these crimes and those who committed them.

I am really surprised that some of the loudest "calls to action" by these people have not been removed from the social media platforms on which they were posted. How crazy is it that YouTube, for instance, will take down a video showing how to install Windows 11 on a computer using a local account, claiming it to be "harmfull or dangerous content", while videos calling on the public to rise up against their government and illegal migrants remain online for all to see.

It is very easy to get a distorted view of the situation from simply watching social media posts. Empty vessels... as they say. However, in speaking with some trusted friends who live in the UK it would very much appear as if something bad may well happen in the near future. Regular Brits seem (quite rightly) worried that their government is doing nothing effective to stop this growing wave of violence against innocent citizens and their kids.

We've seen the demonstrations, the marches and even the riots -- let's hope things do not move to the next level.

A word to the UK government (all of who I am certain are regular Aardvark readers): Get your act together. You must not only address this situation but be seen to address this situation in a very solid and tangible manner. Do not focus on trying to put a bandaid on the symptoms, deal with the root cause and show your people you are more than just endless rhetoric and promises about taking such measures.

Once again, I reach for the popcorn and watch.

Carpe Diem folks!
